Following the Armenian community in Jerusalem
Long on my way as a ceramicist I followed the Armenian art that captured my heart. I learned to draw and understand the motifs on the ceramic vessels I make. Through a walk through the alleys of the Armenian and Christian Quarters we will tell the fascinating story of the three families who came here in the early 1920s, and created art unique only to Jerusalem, we will walk between sites where we will see spectacular works.
In addition, we will get to know the Armenian community, a small but influential community in the city, including current dilemmas.
We will end with a visit to my dear teacher’s workshop.
